The Essential Facts of Backgammon Game Plans – Part 2
Posted in Backgammon on 05/16/2020 07:25 pm by LillieAs we dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of skill and pure luck. The aim is to shift your pieces safely around the board to your inner board while at the same time your opposing player shifts their pieces toward their inside board in the opposite direction. With opposing player pieces shifting in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for particular strategies at particular times. Here are the 2 final Backgammon techniques to complete your game.
The Priming Game Tactic
If the goal of the blocking tactic is to slow down the opponent to shift their checkers, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely block any movement of the opponent by building a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s chips will either get bumped, or end up in a battered position if he/she ever attempts to escape the wall. The trap of the prime can be built anywhere between point 2 and point 11 in your half of the board. Once you have successfully constructed the prime to block the activity of the opponent, the opponent doesn’t even get a chance to toss the dice, and you move your pieces and toss the dice yet again. You’ll be a winner for sure.
The Back Game Technique
The aims of the Back Game strategy and the Blocking Game technique are similar – to hurt your opponent’s positions hoping to better your chances of succeeding, but the Back Game tactic uses different tactics to do that. The Back Game strategy is generally employed when you are far behind your competitor. To compete in Backgammon with this technique, you need to hold two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This plan is more complex than others to play in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your checkers and how the chips are relocated is partly the result of the dice toss.
