The Essential Basics of Backgammon Game Plans – Part Two

The goal is to move your pieces safely around the board to your inside board and at the same time your opposition moves their checkers toward their inner board in the opposing direction. With competing player chips shifting in opposing directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for specific strategies at specific times. The Priming Game Tactic

If the goal of the blocking plan is to hamper the opponents ability to move his checkers, the Priming Game strategy is to completely barricade any movement of the opposing player by creating a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s checkers will either get hit, or result a battered position if he at all tries to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be built anywhere between point 2 and point 11 in your game board. After you have successfully built the prime to stop the activity of the opponent, the competitor doesn’t even get to toss the dice, that means you shift your chips and toss the dice yet again. You’ll win the game for sure.

The Back Game Plan

The goals of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game technique are similar – to hurt your opponent’s positions with hope to better your chances of winning, however the Back Game tactic utilizes different tactics to achieve that. The Back Game strategy is generally employed when you are far behind your competitor. To play Backgammon with this tactic, you need to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game.
