The Essential Details of Backgammon Game Plans – Part Two
Posted in Backgammon on 11/23/2023 04:25 pm by LillieAs we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and luck. The aim is to move your chips carefully around the game board to your inside board and at the same time your opponent moves their chips toward their inside board in the opposite direction. With opposing player chips heading in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the need for particular tactics at specific times. Here are the two final Backgammon techniques to finish off your game.
The Priming Game Plan
If the purpose of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to move their checkers, the Priming Game tactic is to absolutely block any movement of the opponent by assembling a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s pieces will either get hit, or result a damaged position if he/she ever tries to leave the wall. The ambush of the prime can be established anyplace between point two and point eleven in your board. As soon as you’ve successfully built the prime to prevent the movement of the competitor, the competitor does not even get to roll the dice, and you move your pieces and roll the dice yet again. You’ll be a winner for sure.
The Back Game Technique
The objectives of the Back Game plan and the Blocking Game plan are similar – to harm your opponent’s positions with hope to boost your chances of succeeding, but the Back Game plan relies on different tactics to do that. The Back Game tactic is commonly used when you are far behind your opponent. To compete in Backgammon with this tactic, you have to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This strategy is more difficult than others to employ in Backgammon because it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are relocated is partly the result of the dice toss.
